You just need to keep on winning battles. Get yourself a core of elite soldiers and fight against bigger armies so that you're getting 20-30 renown per battle and it starts to add up pretty quickly. I don't remember if Perisno has the option to set how many reinforcement waves there are for each battle, but if it does, you can sort of cheese it
Renown will be earned by your character as you progress through the Mount&Blade games. Your character's renown is basically how well known they are throughout Calradia or Eastern Europe. The other lords and rulers also have renown, which over time, assuming you are relatively successful, you will surpass. You can gain renown in a number of ways:
Trainer Options and Cheats: 1. Unlimited Health 2. Unlimited Horse Health 3. Unlimited Shield Durability 4. Unlimited Party Health 5. Ignore Melee Damage 6. Max Morale 7. Set Movement Speed 8.
Feasts are a new feature introduced with Warband. Feasts were not included in the next installment of the series, With Fire & Sword (though they make a comeback in Viking Conquest). Feasts are held by wealthy and powerful land-owning nobles all over Calradia, specifically those wealthy enough to lord over towns and castles. Feasts typically last for short periods of time, but can last longer
you get renown by getting into and winning battles that are unfair to you. for example you versus 10 looters - that doesnt give you that much renown, maybe 1-3 renown, looters are not deemed so tough in the game. the highest renown you can get from one single battle is 50, usually its that high if you go one versus a whole lord party.
I did find a half workaround. Quit, validate, come back in, and go and win tournaments. Normal battles led to no renown, but I could slowly push my clan tier up via won tournaments. I switched to beta 1.1.0 and started a new campaign to test it out. After about about 2 hours I noticed that my renown was stuck at 41.
A renown of 45 is so low that it might as well be zero. The NPC lords don't even start saying that they've heard of you until you get to around 150. A late game player character who has won a lot of big battles will typically have renown of at least 2000 or higher. That is when the game really starts to penalize your renown if you rest for too
